I Sea Now In Between – resin on wood panel

These layers, and the shadows! I can keep looking at it. I feel like I’m going into hiding in a submarine world. I get a glimpse into a serene underwater world.

This work is part of a larger collection of works that are related to the greatness and life force of the ocean.

The theme that connects all these paintings is “Atlas of the Ocean”. The work gives a feeling of freedom and connectedness and seeks a connection with greater power.

The name Atlas refers to Greek mythology in which Atlas was given the task of ensuring that the earth (Gaia) and heaven (Uranus) could not reach each other. These works search for the connection again.

I Sea Now In Between works great as part of a series of three on the wall, but can also stand on its own. Think of a hall, toilet, a cozy corner or a near a dresser or cupboard.

This work is made on a wooden background and built up in layers with resin/epoxy. This gives the work a lot of depth. If the light falls on it you can clearly see the shadows in the work.

  • I Sea Now In Between, is 20 cm by 20 cm. The wooden panel has a border of 4 cm.

The work is open at the rear so that it can be hung directly on the wall.
