Sister – Resin on wood

This work always draws me in like a magnet. I imagine floating the ocean beneath me, clouds like hanging like veils around me, fading into the foam heads of the sea.

This work is part of a larger collection of works that are related to the grandeur and power of the ocean. The theme that connects all these paintings is “Atlas of the Ocean”. The work gives a feeling of freedom and connectedness and seeks a connection with greater power.

The name Atlas refers to Greek mythology where Atlas was given the task of ensuring that the earth (Gaia) and the sky (Uranus) could not reach each other. These works search for the connection again.

This smaller work does well as part of a series on the wall but can also stand alone. Think about hanging them in a hallway, toilet, a cozy corner or a near a dresser or cupboard.

Sister is an original handmade artwork. She is made of resin/epoxy and made up of different layers of resin, which gives the work a lot of depth.

  • Sister has a diameter of 25 cm. The wooden panel has a thickness of 1 cm.

The work is provided with a hook on the back so that it can be hung directly on the wall.
