Oceans II, small artwork, acrylic on canvas
A warm summer day. The sea rustles softly. The sense of timelessness and the endless now.
This work is part of a larger collection of works that are related to the grandeur and life force of the ocean. The theme that connects all these paintings is “Atlas of the Ocean”. The work gives a feeling of freedom and connectedness and seeks a connection with greater power.
The name Atlas refers to Greek mythology where Atlas was given the task of ensuring that the earth (Gaia) and the sky (Uranus) could not reach each other. These works search for the connection again.
This is a smaller work of art that works great as part of a “gallery wall”, where several works together form one whole. But this work can also stand on its own. Think of a hall, toilet, a small cozy sitting area or near a dresser or cupboard.
Oceans II is an original handmade piece of art. The work is 18 cm x 24 cm. The sides are 22 mm thick. No frame is needed, the edges are also nicely finished.
